Our mascot

Safety Hodori — Our Safety Ambassador

Olympic Roots

Hodori, the official mascot of the 1988 Seoul Summer Olympics, symbolized Korean warmth, courage, pride, and global friendship. His welcoming personality made him one of Korea’s most recognizable cultural icons.

Tiger Symbolism

In Korean culture, the tiger represents strength, protection, courage, and guardianship against danger — a natural symbol for safety leadership and worker protection.

Transformation into Safety Hodori

SK Electric adopted Hodori’s spirit as the foundation of the Safety Department mascot — updated with PPE and construction safety identity to represent modern industrial safety culture. Friendly, approachable, and safety-focused, Safety Hodori reflects our philosophy: Safety First • Starts with ME • Safety Always.

Why Safety Hodori Matters

Safety Hodori helps promote a positive safety culture across multicultural jobsites. More than a mascot, he represents worker protection, leadership presence, and the belief that safety is not just compliance — it is part of our identity and culture.
